Would there be any advantage to checking the shipping water of my new fish with the Seneye meter? Would it detect ammonia in the shipping water? I'm going to use it for temp and PH, but thought. HMMMMMM, would it test for ammonia in the shipping water ?
I have two very expensive fish coming tomorrow and trying to do everything 100% right.

There will most def be ammonia present in a shipping bag. Unharmful until you open the bag and mix with o2. When i recieve fish i get the current parameters theyre kept in and match my qt to them.
When they come in i cut a tiny hole in the bag remove a sample of water to test and reseal to float the bag.
If params match i float to temp and add fish...if they are different i adjust the qt to match.
Do not under any circumstance drip.acclimate shipped creatures...once bag is opened ammonia becomes toxic and deadly very quickly.
