Hello all

My Red Serpent Sea Star somehow got himself into the drain box. Do I need to mount a rescue or let him figure it out for himself? I’m worried that he won’t get enough food. What do you think? That’s a photo of his arm sticking out of the grate. Every time I open the lid, he dives.

My serpent did this a few times as well. I ended up getting a 3d printed cover that snapped into the grates to keep it from happening since it’s a finer mesh. I too was worried about it getting enough food. I ended up getting a piece of filter floss, making a couple holes in it and feeding zip ties to make two handles. I got it under the star and was able to pull it up and out.
