I'm thinking of doing a 33 long (48,13,12) frag tank over the summer. I want to do it right. As of now I have the idea of doing sps and acans in the same tank. I've got a rough equipment list.

Tank- 33 long
Lights - 6 build ati sunpower. Need advice on a good bulb combo
Power head- mp10. Is this enough for 48in?
Dosing- brs 2 part
Skimmer- Do I need a skimmer if its just a frag tank?
Testing- still need advice on good test kits

Thanks

Can you plumb it into your existing tank? Also you'll need to think about being able to house acans and sps together in the same, shallow, tank is there will not be much room to hide the acans from the light your sps will need to maintain their health.

Not going to be able to plumb them together they will be in two separate rooms. As for the lighting of acans; would it work if i sheltered them by putting egg crate over them to difuse some of the light?
