Settling Tank

Hey,

I found information about some people using settling tanks to remove large particulate waste. I was wondering if anybody has used something like that in a reef tank and if so was it worth having. Here is a link to a video I found.

They are. I wanted to set one up. There are a few people on another website I use that use them. One is a conical tank and the other is a smaller tank with 2 pieces of glass set in a v to allow derititus to settle. I think the second one would be easier to fit. They are usually a low glow area to let derititus to settle out.

Thanks for the replies. I think this may be my next project. I noticed that I get a lot of crap on the bottom of my sump so I thought this may help with that problem.
