Shallow 80g SPS Build

Nitrates are not detectable using the Nyos kit.
Alk is ~8 using the Hanna photometer.
Calcium is ~450 using Salifert.
SG is 1.026 via refractometer.

That's all I text for. I dose BRS two part via dosing pumps from @AVAST Marine and love them.

Just ordered the Apex wi-fi today from LFS when I picked up a beautiful 2" Tomini tang.

@ProjectAnemone are you affiliated with the OP tank? If so please raise your nitrates to 5ppm, so you don't starve out your SPS, in the video they appear to be paling or browning.

They are pale due to the Vertex Illumina being way too powerful. Color is returning now I have dialed it down to 8% on the whites and 15% on the blues. That's with it at triple the suggested height above the water. Ordering all new test kits today from BRS.

Are u project anemone?

Yes. 'ProjectAnemone' has been terminated. Sold 90% of the livestock in the tub. Setting up a small frag tank for my display stuff. Just don't have time to put put into a side business.

Got a box of goodies over the weekend. Another MP40, an Vectra M1, and two Kessil A360W LEDs with the Spectral controller.
Hoping to plumb the sump from my old anemone system to the display tonight.

Removed the Vertx Illumina and added the Kessils. Love the shimmer.

Looking good! Great looking rock scape. And... good timing :) I've got new base rock on the way for my peninsula, and had been considering different methods of fixing it in place. Your suggestion of heat melt plastic makes good sense... just ordered a jug of it from Amazon.

Just got this (Collospongia sp.) today from LA.

Going to see if I can get it to swirl with this one I got last week (ReefBuilders pic from here: https://reefbuilders.com/2010/12/15/blue-photo-sponge-collospongia-auris/ ) Mine is purple right now as it is in lower light.
How did that go?I have not seen too many red ones around like on LA. I know they change depending on light, but will different individuals or species become the same color in the same tank? I am picking up some photo sponges from two different sources this week. Hopefully they stay different colors.

Just back from two weeks in Europe. Lost a couple of SPS in the display but lost a lot in the frag tank. Both are on the same system, but the frag tank light died.

Not sure why it duped all the pics. I just inserted from the media gallery.
