Shallow Reef meridian verison in app?

Hey all,

Looking for some help with my new meridian 35 shallow reef.

In the app I am only seeing what looks like the original channels? Did setup it properly?

Is channel one supposed to be warm white vs indigo? Do I need to manually adjust each channel with a different color to match the shallow reef layout.

I have a 36x24x31 tank I am trying to setup a schedule for.

Hey there!

You set it up correctly, nothing's wrong on your end. Just add it as a normal Meridian and then adjust the spectrum to suit your shallow reef layout.

On the channels: the color picker we built lets you rename a channel and change its color on the graph, so you can program in and visualize whatever spectrum you're after. That's intentional, we wanted it to be forward-thinking so end users can fully customize their light's spectrum rather than being locked to presets. One thing to keep in mind though: the picker changes the label and graph color, not the hardware mapping. Channel 1 still controls channel 1 physically, so it's worth knowing which diode sits on each channel as you tune.

For a starting point, try 30% power across the board with a 10 to 14 hour total run time. From there, dial the two white LED channels up or down slightly until you land on the color you want. Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions, I am always happy to assist!
