Hi,

I would like to ask for your advise. My tank is 80 cm x 90 cm x 40 cm (31 x 35 x 15 inches) shallow reef tank. For wavemaker, I run only 1 Ecotech mp40qd. Everything seems fine to me, corals love the flow, and I don’t see any „dead zones”. As I read the different posts I’m not sure if it is enough or not. Here is a pic of my tank, just to show the layout of the rocks.

Are you happy with your current set up and does it seem the majority of your corals are thriving? There are so many variables, maybe most importantly individual speicmen prefference, you will likely always have a coral that preffers something other than what you've provided. As far as "dead zones" every reef has them somewhere and it can be argued they might be needed to increase the diversity of the microbial processes in a system.

Just a quick update of the tank.
Your tank looks like it is doing great! Have you had to overcome any challenges last year?

Thank you. There are always challenges :). Last year I had a dino infection, my No3 and No2 were zero, so now I'm adding it to the tank. Also, I have bubble algae, I have to remove it by hand continuously.
