Share your experience with Captive Bred Blue Tangs

Just looking to see if anyone has the captive bred blue tangs in their tanks. Was wondering if they are more hardy than wild caught, Im assuming so, but looking for confirmation of that. Thanks guys!

The first batch certainly weren't hardier. They suffered from HLLE at a much earlier age.

This is the last thing I saw as well. It's apparently gotten better, but still exists. Here's a vid where Dustin toured a facility working on this:

After seeing this and the extent of HLLE, I'm speculating here, wondering if its not something in the water. Their filtration system utilizes a fluidized bed system. The media maybe causing this?

Its possible I suppose. I wonder where they are at with their research.

I have one from the first batch named Tango The Tang. He will be 2 years old at the end of May and has never Showed many signs of HLLE. He is amazing! We got him from an auction where the University of Florida released two out of the 27 to the public
