Well I am brand new to reefing. I have a current 20gal fresh water with some GLOfish. But I have been waiting to get a tank and I saw a used one with all the stuff I needed for a great deal so I scooped it up! I think I got a good deal it was $1,200 for the tank and all the stuff underneath skimmer, and lights and lid. Then they made me a custom 40lb rock for $480 for my coral to go on then, 40lbs of sand, a auto top off system to keep the water full and setup and delivery for $2,332. Not sure if that is a good deal or not?

But after looking on here I wish I would have done a bigger tank but I guess I have somewhere to start. They are coming Thursday the 9th to setup so i will get pictures when they install it!

Picture attached is my tank and stand in store.

That is good to know. I'm eagerly waiting for Thursday now! :)
I can't tell what's all under the stand, but it looks like a Red Sea skimmer (?) and some other goodies. Not sure what the light is (couldn't place it).

Tank was installed yesterday and setup. I’m very happy happy with how it looks! They said to keep adding 2 cap fulls of this liquid and the. In 2 weeks come back and test water and pick up a pair of clown fish to get it all going. It was very cloudy yesterday and today it’s super clear.

What else should I be doing? They were trying to get in and out and since they were late I had to leave before they got there. He was quick to get off the phone but kept pushing to do the $150 visit for every week maintenance. I’d prefer to start myself as a hobby and not have to rely on them.

Used 170 Red Sea
Bought 2 new heaters incase one breaks
Has Octo protein skimmer
Auto Top off and I just need to refill the tank weekly on side of stand
Light kit on top
Custom rock made

Removed all wire from the bottom from the install. Been working with Kevin /Kyle with @Queen City Corals and just got my new set of clowns today (Premium Black Snowflake & Black Ice Snowflake). They have given the most time and help far to me from all my visits to multiple stores. I will be using them more frequently to get my coral done and my next tank! Got my lights connected and adjusted tonight to 12 hours with a 3 hour ramp up using red sea recommendations from another chat box on here. I added 4 balls of biomedia. Very happy and eager to get going but taking my time so it is done correctly.

I'm going thru 5 gallons of water a week with my red sea 170 so far.

Great to see and happy to help! The tank is looking good, can't wait to help you fill it up with corals!
