7 clowns?! One of the nicest looking tanks around and loving the 7 clowns. I don't know why i've never thought of keeping more than 2...

Yes I know, I'm amazed that all 7 were in the picture, usually they are all over the tank. I didn't think of having more than 2 either until I saw someone else have several. They each have their own little personality, its so nice to watch.
Also thanks for the compliments, the reef is growing in.

Wow, nice looking tank. After you redid the tank, it just turned into an amazing work of art.

May I ask why you choose to supplement your AI's with T5? Also what kind of bulbs are you supplementing them with?

I rescaped my tank today after looking at your photos. Granted my 220 has only been up for less than a month so nothings set in stone, but i'm really digging the tall rock work and large gaps. muchas gracias. I should probably puddy those pieces together now that i think of it.

Love the new look. Did you change the colour of the background from black to blue? If so, what made you decide to change the background colour?

Thanks clowndude, it took a lot of experimenting to get the look I wanted.

I was concerned there was something missing from the LED's and I wanted more sideways light(if you know what Im trying to say)to reach the sides and bases of the corals. Led light tends to be focused straight down so the tops of the corals look much better than the sides, however we mostly view from the sides. I added 1 39w KZ Superblue And 1 KZ Fiji Purple and I can't believe the difference. Corals are getting so much more colour all around not just the tops. I am going to add a 39w Blue+ also once I get it so all the spectrum should be covered.

Thanks for the compliment, I redid mine after being on these forums, so inspiring. Yes I putty everything now, everything is secure otherwise my little bulldozers (snails) always not stuff over.

Love the new look. Did you change the colour of the background from black to blue? If so, what made you decide to change the background colour?
Thankyou Sahin for the nice words. The background is the same, but with the t5 supplement they illuminate from the closest they can be mounted to the front angled towards the back and lights up the sides and basses of the corals including the back, so it appears blue.It is still not as blue as I would like, I now wish I had done a blue background as that is what you see if you are diving on a real reef.

Wow, simply beautiful. Love the strong colours on the SPS. I dont know what it is about LED's but I too thought there is something "missing" and hence have a hybrid T5/LED system. Although you utilise the full Zeovit system, however, can you provide some idea as to which of the additives in your opinion provides the best colours for SPS? I'd like to add that a lot of LED or T5 systems have pale SPS colours and I am impressed with the strong colouration in your SPS corals. Can you attribute any particular additive to this? Many thanks in advance for answering my questions! :)

Because zeo is so effective with nutrient control, even Po4 consistently at 0.00 on a hanna meter I began feeding the fish heavier, with still 0.00 Po4 I think the corals are getting more food(fish poo) combined with the right intensity on the LED's(so easy to blast the heck out of them) and using the balling method to keep the params as stable as I can, the colours naturally are getting more vivid. I don't actually dose much in the way of zeo, the usual carbon, bak, coralvite once a week, amino acids once a week, regular water changes. Though I have seen a vast improvement since adding the T5's a KZ Superblue & Fiji purple, hope that somewhat answers your question.

Your tank is looking awesome Shelby, nice job with everything.
Very much appreciate your kind words.

Thankyou clown dude, I will try to get some pics for you, however they are mounted on a Tek reflector that is suspended by cables from the ceiling no fixture didn't have room, and are mounted as close to the front of the aquarium as possible in front of the AI's angled slightly towards the back, picture trying to light the frontside of the coral more than just the top

any trouble at all? is there a dominant pair within the group?
There is definitely a pecking order, but they have all claimed a little area that they stay unless I feed them. I have 1 that I've had for a long time now that is a good size that I thought would be the boss, but asks like the new ones don't exist.

heres some more pics:xd:

Yesterday I received the Avast Marine Swabbie and Skimmate Locker and of course I was up till midnight setting it all up. I got the retrofit model that I installed on my ATB 840v2. So now I will see how much skim mate I collect. Im excited about this because Ive noticed the best performance is when the skimmer is clean, and the swabbie will keep it clean. I have it set up on my profilux to run for a minute 4 times a day. Now only if I could automate my zeostone RX to shake itself:neutral: Any ideas?

Well heres an update, Im loving the skimmer swabbie and skim mate locker, I haven't had to clean the skimmer yet and its been 2 weeks and the neck is still clean and I can see more of a sludge collecting in the cup while the liquid pours into the locker. I removed a AI led module so I have only 3 on it now run lengthwise to allow more room for my T5's.
Things have been growing like crazy and I had to prune my green stylo from touching and shading some corals. Heres the pics of the new frags i made;
