I don't usually write reviews of any kind but I thought this was necessary.
I've recently purchased a beautiful scoly from Sheltered Reef. Although they are fairly new, I wanted to give them a try since they were having killer prices on scolys. When I received the scoly, I was fairly taken back by the size of the shipping box upon delivery. It was huge compared to the other vendors that i've bought scolys from.

Once I opened the box, I realized why the box was so much bigger than other vendors. They packed 2 extra bags of their tank water and a freebie toy(which I gave to my nephew). I only buy from online vendors and pretty much tried all of them except the known vendors with bad reviews and I've never had any of them send extra water with the coral. EVER!! Most places try to give you as little water as possible to save on shipping weight so it was truly awesome to see a vendor do this.

Unfortunately the scoly started receding once it went in to my tank. 9 days after delivery, I sent them a pic of the scoly with my water parameters I tested night before and they refunded my money without a question and it was truly hassle free experience. They absolutely stand behind their 14 day guarantee and if you guys haven't tried them, I would recommend them without hesitation. They've earned a loyal customer out of me.

This is my first review of any kind on any site but I have to share a recent experience I had with Sheltered Reef.

I recently purchased 4 corals from a Sheltered Reef sale. My corals were shipped out on a Thursday afternoon and while en route there was an accident that delayed shipping. When I saw the email about shipping delay I called Sheltered Reef and spoke to Lenny who had already been communicating with the shipper since 7am. Lenny kept in touch with me throughout the day to keep me updated. He also informed me that if delay wasn't resolved I would receive a full refund. Cut to the chase. My corals were in transit for approximately 93 hours with about 80 of those in the shippers warehouse. When I received them Monday not only was I shocked the water was still clear but 3 of the 4 still had color! I did a ten minute dip in revive and placed at bottom of tank uder ledge. Here is a pic just 8 hours after being in tank. No fancy photography just quick snap with my note4.

Three days later they are eating and recovering well! This was only possible because of the care and attention put into the packing process as well as their diligence in maintaining superior water quality.

Sheltered Reef is a new company but Lenny and his staff have earned my complete respect and loyalty with their above and beyond style of customer service. I will not hesitate to buy from them again nor should you!
