Shipping dry goods international

Other than standard things (postage,package,insurance,etc), do I need anything special (customs label or ?) to ship dry goods like a pump (skimmer,power head,etc)? Thanks

usps requires a customs form filled out for international shipments. fedex and ups probably have the same.
