No not that much about 3x the size of the coral should be fine. When corals are shipped from the other side of the world there is little to no water in the containers they are in.

Thanks for the heads up. My supplier said the same thing. I have shipped other corals out but first time to ship a scoly and it's a master. Just gathering as much info.
 
When I got a cynaria (similar in fleshiness), it had extra plastic in bag around the coral for extra cushion. Your Reef shipped and it was perfect.
