My 200gal tank is about 5 months old. Has a pretty low fish load. 4 cardinals, fox face, flame angel, blue jaw trigger. Adding a couple clowns, 3 tangs, filefish, and maybe a couple other smaller fish next week. I have been really struggling to get nitrates above 2.5. Feeding heavy. phosphates are perfect at .08ish. I have a bunch of torches and SPS in the tank. I feel like my torches are not coloring up that well and from what I hear, SPS like 10-15 nitrates as well. i have tried feeding more and that does not help. I have dosed some NeoNitrate in the past which raises nitrates temporarily but then they just drop right back down. Should I continue dosing NeoNitrate to get up to the 10 level?

Side note....Even though nitrates are low, I still find myself having to clean the glass in the tank every couple days. I am pretty compulsive about it, so it doesnt get that bad, but I still feel like it gets dirty pretty quickly.

If it was my tank I'd just leave it alone , especially if you are going to be adding more fish soon . It's likely they will raise once you have more fish .
