My purple tang is currently making a recovery from an ammonia spike. He was laying on his side for three days, he is now swimming around and recovering. My question is, should I be using any medication to help him along. He lost a litttle color on his face and a slightly cloudy eye.
P.S. Don’t put your trust in a seachem ammonia alert!!

id let things go at this point, and let it heal. adding anything else, you risk really stressing it out. Best of luck

Do you know what caused the ammonia issue?
Hospital tank up for a week, to small of a tank for the fish. First time using seachem ammonia alert which never changed color. When I noticed fish not looking good I did an ammonia test and it was very high.
