Currently dealing with a dino outbreak. My nitrates are undetectable but my phosphates are high. I unplugged my reactor that has GFO in it, phosphates went from .10 to .23. Should I run the gfo to lower my phosphates while I increase my nitrates to beat back these dinos?

I would not. 0.1 or 0.23 is a great place to be with Dino’s in the tank. The problem is that you always want more nitrogen than phosphorus in the system. The ratio is inverted, and that might be why they popped up in your system. Dose the NO3 up to 10-20 (closer to 50-100:1 ratio with PO4), and things will do much better. Best of luck!
