Should I switch to LED's??

I am about to make a bulb switch on my 10 bulb, 54W Powermodule. Before I dropped another $225 on bulbs, I was thinking about upgrading to an Aqua Illumination or something... Any thoughts/opinions??

Its why I switch to led.... my bulbs change was about the same price spent 700 on DIY reefledlights.Com led kits and I love them!!!!! Also lowers my bill a good 70 bucks a month. No bulbs change for 20 years! I'm a happy camper for sure. All up to you though.

I love my leds that I got from reeffiltration my sps are coloring up & getting growth so much faster than my 250w MH I'm talking about growth in weeks not months yeah! best investment yet go for it

Do it. I just made the switch, for the same reason. No more buying bulbs or worrying about their age. You'll get even more bang for the buck if you DIY. First week running, so no comments on growth. They look really nice though.

just out of curiosity for the people using LEDs, how long have you been using them? months, years? Do you notice the LEDs producing less growth after they are a few years old?

Check my thread in the LED forum, just be sure to get the premium royal blue LEDs, not all of the crees are the same.

I've been using them for about a year and love them. They should last a very long time if you cool them correctly. However, 20 years is probably not going to happen.

I switched from MH and VHO to the AI Sol Blue LEDs and love them.

You might also look at the AI whites, they're actually pretty blue.
