Good morning everyone,
Quick question about All For Reef? We have a 150 gallon (2 1/2yrs) with fish and soft corals. We don’t do water changes and only dose magnesium and a drop of iodine a week.
If I add AFR to help raise Alkalinity will it raise everything to high?
Salinity 34.7 ppt
Magnesium 1300
PO4 1.0 ppm
KH/Alk 6 dkh
pH 8.0
Calcium 445 ppm

Thanks,
Tim

AFR will raise alkalinity and calcium. If you wish to just raise your alkalinity, baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) or soda ash (sodium carbonate) are great choices, with reliable dosage calculators.

Here's a couple good DIY recipes: https://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/rhf/index.php
