Who says you can't put angels in a reef? ;) I have SPS, Euphyllia and Zoas. So far no picking at anything. I know the zoas will go eventually but that's ok. Now to show fish. I honestly love my Desjardini Sailfin. Achilles is cool too but the Sailfin eats from my hand.

Wow a brave man. How long have you had all 3 and did they every fight. And your. Achilles was it eating frozen or did you have to train it?

I started out with the fish and started getting into SPS not that long ago. You can see my new frags in the background. I know it is always a gamble but I'm fine with that. I've had the Blueline and Majestic for over a year. The Asfur was added 3 months or so ago. All get along well. The Majestic wasn't a fan of the Asfur for the first couple days but they got along fine after that.

I got the Achilles from Divers Den and he was eating frozen, flakes and Nori pretty much immediately. Won't touch pellets though. I know my experience is rare and it usually takes a bit to get them to eat. The Achilles actually runs the tank and is the undisputed boss.

Yes I have been look at divers den For the Achilles just for The fact that they already are eating frozen food and they quarantine their fish for a month to six months before they sell them. I'll pay extra $75-$100 for an Achilles is eating frozen and I know it's healthy versus getting a wild caught less then a month into being in captivity.

My show fish is my crosshatch trigger. He's in my 300 gallon dd - model citizen. A close second is my naso tang.

I went with a fuzzy dwarf lion fish as my "show" fish for my reef tank. The pro for me is that they do not eat corals and have great personalities. The con is they eat shrimp and small fish.

Speaking in general rather than about this thread, "brave" is a funny thing to me.

For example, Evel Knievel was certainly brave for jumping the fountains at Caesar's Palace, and he even had a track record suggesting he would be successful, but a total wipeout was an acceptable risk because it was him alone.

For us reefers, it's the same risk, but there are usually a bunch of wild animals (or even just one) in the balance instead of the owner. I don't tend to think of this as a brave sort of risk.

I'm going small here, show/favorite, my clown goby is ridiculously entertaining to watch. He sleeps on everything, super melo fish

It's tough to see in the last one with iPhones and moonlights but he's literally laying on the side of the glass

I have a Red Sea Regal in my reef as well, for over 6 months...never had any problems either. I constantly watch him, and the only thing he picks at occasionally is algae on the rocks...he passes right by the polyps, LPS, and SPS...great reef fish in my opinion.

Dang no wonder those fish aren't bothering corals, the tanks are so packed with them you would never notice missing ones here and there.
I had a flame angel as a show fish in my tank. Then he decided to start eating plate corals, then turned to my open brains. He was removed after great fight. He was in the tank for 4 months before he decided it was a great idea.

They really make the tank POP with color. Especially since there are almost no yellow or blue corals

Have a hippo and yellow as well. Also a mandarin but with so much rock i dont c him often
