These Acros are magnificent! I see they are really less than ten years in the hobby, grown out from wild colonies. I would love some general care requirements and experiences from those who have a specimen. Also, please provide some eye candy!

Lost mine. Still want to try again later on. Also interested in seeing some successful colonies and hopefully someone give us tips on keeping them.

Had 2 for about 1 year. The red one I just got a couple weeks ago.

More recently got a better camera.

Very nice. How do you treat them differently from other acros?
I do not.
I brought in 2 wild colonies from Malaysia cut them in 6 pieces because I've always had better luck with wild stuff when I do.

Then placed them in the display. Haven't moved them or done anything really. It about a month to see some good encrusting I will say they have been slow to grow since.

Nice acros keep up the good work what kind are they sorry need the freshen up on the names
These are acropora speciosa. If you're asking for fancy names like what the kids do, I don't really know.

These are more advanced and don’t have names. Part of that is because so few people have success with them, and in general they grow slowly.

@cilyjr is doing an awesome job. Even the owner of Frag Garage says he struggles with these. The teal one seems to be the one people have a bit more success with.

When I cut it I gave 2 pieces to 2 friends. 1 of those is still going strong the other was fine until he tried to move it.

They are just difficult. As sensitive as the expensive tenuis we desire. You look at it wrong one day and it'll peel on you.
