Hey! I am currently upgrading my tank from a smaller to a bigger mixed reef and I wanted some inspiration on how you folks organize your corals over the space! I have a mix of zoas (17 kinds!), a mix of leathers, monti, gorgonians, candycane, mushrooms, aiptaisa, some torches, and a bunch of other softies with a plan to get some hammers. I want to build spaces for them from the start to increase success.

Share your builds!

I started with a nice mixed reef with one RBTA, now I apparently have 18 at last count and they dominate the tank. I stopped adding other sps due to the anemone invasion.

That tank looks amazing! I only saw 1 hippo tamg, is that all your stock list? Also, the birdsnest looks so cool!

Thank you! The tang is not alone. There’s a pair of true percula clowns, coral beauty, starry blenny, purple dottyback, cleaner wrasse and a 6 line wrasse. They all like to hide except the tang when I take pictures lol

Torches and hammers need a lot of space to grow. The golden hammer in the center of my tank started with 4 heads. A year later it probably has over 20 heads and is the size of a large grape fruit.
