As my new tank is going to house a lot of fish that are prone to nipping hard corals I've decided to try and do a soft display rather than rock only or artificial.

I've just got frags from 3 Sarcos to grow out pictures below of the mother colonies.

So show me yours I have any to see all the variations!

I thought true Japanese corals were illegal in the hobby, but lately I'm seeing a lot of pictures of this Japanese toadstool...
 
Yes it was for you! It's going to be some size in a year or two then

Yeah, I didn't expect it to grow this fast! I'm thinking about fragging it when it moves to the 65g in another month or 2. It's got a nice shape and I really don't want to mess that up, but will have to see.

It's unlikely that they are really from Japan, or deep water.

That said, I know hard corals are illegal but not sure about softies.
