I picked up a tyree toadstool and I'm curious how big these guys can get to help decide where I want to place mine... thanks! :)

I dont have one to show off.....but the answer is BIG...Trump HUGE and at the bottom of your tank

Mine is about 9" diameter and growing... it was about 4"-5" diameter when I bought it about 2 years ago. I actually have my leathers higher in the tank than all of my SPS varieties. And all of mine love a lot of flow! I would recommend medium to high lighting and at least medium flow.

Thanks man! I forgot to mention, leathers can be happy in lots of places, but you always want a decent flow. It helps them slough-off a thin layer of tissue that they do periodically. Also, if you look closely, you'll notice I have a second one right next to my bright green candy cane... kind of on the right side of the tank down lower. That's a specimen that my friend is having me house until he gets his tank set back up. It's very happy right where it is. So they can definitely go in various locations.

Thanks for the info, I have a ton of flow in my tank. 2 gyre 150's and 2 mp40's. :)

What's the big bright green one right above your big tyree?
