Lol, if they are like our Great Danes from years ago, the only danger is they will knock you over when they lean into you. Then slobber on you once you are down.

Miss those big guys and girls!

LOL, so true! i will say, though, that olivia is my protector. i am pretty sure if somebody tried something with me, she would take them down. destiny would run and hide, eden would drown them in slobber. seriously, just their size and big barks are intimidating to people who don't know them. people who don't know them won't get out of their vehicle. it can be problematic with new delivery drivers.

Odi. Half Maltese, half Papillon. Just a little guy, weighs 7 pounds. This was on a mountain bike ride, he runs out front. His record is 9 miles. I don’t know where he stores the energy but he loves to go. 11F29338-BA39-4A6B-8858-86C7FF179380.jpeg

That’s the cutest face ever!

I'm glad to read this! I'm taking my two 7.5 pound yorkie/maltese/poodles on their first backpacking trip in a couple weeks (9.5 miles in and out in Desolation Wilderness) and have been a bit worried that they'd tucker out and need to be carried most of the way. The longest they've done so far is a 6.5 mile hike -- and I was surprised to find they were enthusiastically "leading the way" the entire time. Whoever said small dogs can't go on big adventures!

Had to jump on this thread to show you guys my chocolate lab! He’s 1.5 years old! He’s awesome and loves the ocean just as much we do! Really enjoys swimming. His name is Charlie Brown
