Wow, never thought I'd be jealous of someone's overflow and sump system until just now, thanks for raising the bar and giving me something to shoot for in the future!

Thanks for the compliment. I really wanted to go with something that was clean and surprising. I'm going to make skins for the stand this summer out of walnut. It'll be finished like a high end piece of furniture. You'd never know the color and equipment was there until you open the doors and then BAM!!!! Fish nerd heaven.....hahahaha

You can use this method for the old models as well. To answer your question about the bulkhead orientation, they need to be flipped after you received it. We reverse them for shipping so they fit in the shipping box. The smooth side should be inside the rear box and the nut on the outside bottom.

Yeah that got me too. I didn't RTFM and just kept them upside down. After someone pointed out my mistake I couldn't leave it!

I ended up making my own

plumbed and water testing:

4 drains into sump filter socks: One siphon, two open channels and one emergency (against 2x waveline dc 12000 returns)
I found out that the two open channels don't work (they take over too much flow from the one siphon and make too much noise). I capped off one of the open channels and dialed back the returns to support single 1.5" beananimal overflow. I am re-plumbing that one open channel that I capped to be a gate valve drain. The secondary gated "siphon" will be opened just enough to take the extra water that the full siphon can't handle. My open channel and emergency could theoretically be dry after I do that - but it all depends on how well I can tune it.

I just got my new #Synergy CL-44 SUMP, Matching 10 gallon ATO Container and I am running one of Ricks 20'' external overflow boxes on my SCA 150. Just doing some dry fit runs before anything gets glued. Ones down two to go...
