Ok this is for the Rea Sea contest.

How long has it taken for your shrimp to melt for the first time after purchase. I'm more interested in Pistol Shrimp but feel free to put info for any!

I just purchased a blood shrimp and he molted 3 hours after putting him in my tank. I acclimated him about an hour. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. He seems to be doing great, hides in his cave and comes out at feeding time

I have two tanks with cleaner shrimp and in both tanks the shrimp molted within 2 weeks of putting them in tank, also have pistol shrimp in both but never seen them molt just shovel sand with there watchman gobie pals keeping watch.
