picked up a tiger shrimp and ywg a month or so ago. Shrimp found a place quick and started digging.
the ywg though was apparently "challenged" and decided that he would rather free-swim in the tank (or at least try to). Eventually he got spooked and made it through my tank cover.

waited a week or so and tried again. this time I got a randalls goby, slightly larger. Would spend some time with the shrimp, then spend some time away. After a week or maybe 2 he is now nowhere to be found. Hasn't jumped, but i'm pretty darn sure he's no longer in the tank.
Was talking it over a bit with locals, and a lfs and i'm starting to think that i need to get a larger goby because of the size of the shrimp. He's currently about 2.5-3" from tail to claw. LA has a bonded pair of pink bar's that are both about 3" that i'm thinking about pretty hard......
tank is a 40b
other inhabitants are 2x clowns, 1x firefish
snails&hermits
Clam and coral. just added a nem last week, but the goby was gone before him.
