Really? I hadn't heard this. They spread like weeds in my tank!

It's a known thing with Yumas. There is a four week hump. Either they like the tank and they do grow well or they perish.

Your bottom one is a lava lamp. The other one is not a superman but it looks like the same type/different color as the lava lamp. Pretty cool never saw that before.
