Sicce syncra 1.0

Sicce syncra pumps let you adjust the flow. Does anyone know if they are fully open out of the box? Or if you we’d to adjust it? Currently have one in my evo 13.5 but just now am aware of the ability to adjust. Wondering if I need to take it out on the next water change to fully open it.

I just purchased two 1.5's recently and there were both fully opened when I took them out of the box.
