Sick sailfin???? Newbie

I have a sailfin tang now for maybe a week. Been great until today. Fin upright, eating. Today I noticed that the fin was down and he didn’t eat much. Also he was a kinda white spot around the mouth and it jitters every now and then.

did you QT hm first or QT with copper?

hard to tell anything from the pic unfortunately (need high def to see disease/parasites). fin down isnt a big deal.. its usually up when they are defending territory.. sailfin face has white spots as part of their coloration (polka dots).. if you're talking about parasitic white spots.. thats different

I would say give him some time. He may still be adjusting to the environment. How old is the tank? Any potential bullies to the sailfin? It looks like a sign of stress to me. The white dots are very likely coloration.

Looks like it is a bit thin and seems to have some damage to its mouth. Could it have run into something?

No qt. Tank is 6 weeks old. I did put a cleaner shrimp in yesterday and it keeps going in the sailfin mouth. But I read that that is what the cleaner shrimp do.
