I was unsure of the check valve and some of the parts. This is a great starting point. Why do you need the check valve ? Also did you get the connection to red sea return and the Pump from PVC online ?

that connector to red sea return pipe was from home depot. I think it was a 3/4 male threaded adapter but you have to use Teflon tape to secure it. The return valve is to prevent excess water coming from DT to the sump if the main pump stops working.
