Hello fellow reefers. I Pulled the trigger and went for a cuatom 66 Galon AIO. Problem is one joint that doesnt look qell, talked to the manufacturer and I qas told that its merely cosmetic and theres no risk of joint failure.
Any ideas? Kinda down a bit for this on a new tank... hope its really just cosmetic...

Are you able to return it and get a different one? It appears to not have made a good seal.

Wow!! This is shockingly bad!

Definitely return this tank.

The builder squeezed the glass panes so tightly together that there is only a few thousands of an inch of silicone between them…

They used a shockingly small amount of silicone too… maybe cost savings?

The edge finish on the glass itself is mediocre at best too… would you be willing to disclose the company’s name? — (once you’ve got your refund, of course!)

I got in touch with the man who assembled it in order to get a new seal, he didnt sound very happy to do it and instead said for me to return it and he would give my money back...
Its ok.... that sillicon bond just doesnt look right...

Thank you for your reply.

It does indeed that the silicone is just so thin that looks pulled already so no big tention on the glass and an accident ready to happen....
Thanks, Ill let you know the shop, but here in Porto, Portugal, theres not a huge choice...

I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news… but, like you said; it is an accident waiting to happen!

Would you be willing to try a system with a true sump under it? They tend to be very reliable, more builders may exist in your area too!

Hello everybody. Thank you for your help on the issue. I tinally was able to return the tank. The maker didnt even say that he could fix it.

Anyway... now its time to get a new tank... hehe
