Simple Control 4 app question

On the Status screen, the little "control 4" icon directly under the hamburger, it is constantly blinking blue to white. I know this opens and closes the head unit details( all three readings are in the green), my question is what is the flashing signifying? That the unit is working? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

If it is on the upper left, that is the heart beat showing that it is working and connected .
