I won a FS par 38 bulb from Rapid led At a swap last week end. I have a 15 gallon i hung it over. Its a softy tank mainly That will house some LPS and SPS from other tanks. ( kinda like a QT if your will)

Only thing is its a 60 deg optic and i have to hang it about 2 ft above the tank to get coverage. Then i get spillage.... Would 80 deg optics work better ?

Will this single Light Support Softys and Lps?
Sps short term ?

Whats your thoughts ?

O yes any light would be fine with softie. They dont require high lighting at all.

I use a par38 from rapid led to accent my high end Orphek lights. The light makes a 12 x12 dark spot of my tank a nice place to grow acro frags. If your tank is really long you may not have enough light spread to really light up the tank but I think you will have very good softie growth in the system. good luck
