I got a used tank last year and still in learning process. I am looking to get a sixline wrasse and want to check the compatibility with my tank. I currently have a foxface, flame angel, flame hawkfish, royal gramma, clown and a serpent star. Tank is matured tank (ELOS 100). Currently my foxface rules the tank. flame angel is also very aggressive. All the fish are adult, and the previous owner had them for over a span of 2-5 years.
Looking for suggestions on the wrasse.

The wrasse will be fine with current tankmates. Him and dotty back may fight. He will be aggressive though so if you want to add other more peaceful fish it could be an issue

Honestly I would avoid six line and mystery wrasse like the plague I've seen a 1.5" six line bully and kill a 5" clown tang. They are especially intolerant of other wrasse and similarly shaped fish, and it worsens over time

With those tank mates the six line will be fine you may run into problems if you are planning to add more wrasse

FYI, I have a four-line wrasse that I really like and have had for two years; however, in about 5 minues I will be breaking down the 40 g he's in to re-home Dennis the Menace in my LFS's 125g show tank. Pest with a capitol P.

Was the tang added after? Six lines can be extremely weird about what they allow in THEIR tanks lol

There is a high liklihood of fighting between the royal gramma and sixline.
I would strongly encourage you not to get a sixline. I have had to remove more sixlines than any other fish from customers tanks due to aggression.

I don't know it was not my tank it was my friends mothers tank, it's been several years. I did set it up I probably should know. Clown tangs can be pretty nasty, I was surprised. It was only 48 hours or less once the badgering began until the clown tang's demise.

What's more amazing is that they coexisted for a few months or more before the six line decided the tang was not an acceptable tankmate

This happened in my tank only it was a male mandarin that was singled out for execution or would have been if he didn't jump. Only the male. The female was left alone.
