Skibi's IM 200 EXT Upgrade Build!

Ya i am using the provided screen cause i bought the side mounts but they kind of just sit on top of the euro bracing there nothing actually holding the light onto the tank if that makes sense. Didn't realize you could use the BOT mounts maybe have to look into that let me know how that goes and pics if you have any. When i get home ill snap some of the mount on the light sitting on the tank.

Also how many arms did you buy saw something you might need 3 or 4 for the 63?

Ya the tank is very heavy was glad some friends and family could give me a hand to move it!

I need my lights secured somehow. My child would definitely knock the light over if I don't. I asked Reef Breeders and they recommended 3 or 4 with the edge lights. I decided for 4 to be safe. They mount to the euro brace. I haven't installed yet but I'm wondering if I can modify the included screen with a jumpguard diy kit I have and never used. I'll have to compare it to the screen when I get home.

I'll break them out and get a picture. I got home early and got the plumbing together pretty quick.

Got the fish and some coral moved over from the old tank about a week ago. Everything seems to be doing well!

Wouldn’t normally add urchins and what not so soon but other tank had to come down trying to supplement with some nori but they won’t eat it.

The lid is going to be an issue. Here's what the base of the BOT mounts look like in the eurobrace configuration.

The front screw is going to be in the way too. I know kraken does cut outs but I'm not sure I'm ready to spend $500+ on a custom lid.

Oh wow! Those things are beefy! Thanks for the pictures! Umm top lids is another one but might be 400 dollars or so too! Such a bummer

Keep checking my parameters to make sure everything is good and nitrates and phosphates don’t bottom out. Pretty happy how everything is looking so far!

Put in an order for fish with DR Reefs Quarantined Fish.
Goin with the following:
Sailfin Tang
Captive Bred Yellow Tang
Powder Blue Tang
Captive Bred Golden-Lined Rabbitfish
Also added 5 Trochus snails to the order

Will be a couple weeks before i get my fish order but excited to get the tang gang in there.

Got around to some small upgrades this weekend feeding door with a drop in feeding cup is super nice. Also purchased the VCA no socks like the idea of them and those filter balls in the cups had to go. Finally added a float valve to my ATO tired of carrying buckets!!

I got the nosocks too. I hate washing socks and with no good roller options I thought it was worth a shot. How is your flow looking? I'm still debating on MP40 placement.

Got the light up today ended up with a reefbreeders meridian 63. Got just the one light but is setup to where I can add the edge lights as I need them.

Beautiful tank. Where do you buy these lights from and what is the name/model of these lights ? I assume they are mounted side to side on the aquarium glass .

I bought mine off of @Battlecorals it’s a used light. The light it self is just sitting on top of the tank itself. It’s called a ReefBreedeera Meridian 63.

I have the same tank and loving it so much. I have been going back n forth on the Meridian 63 for awhile now but will wait for some kind of sale if that ever happens.

Got one of these tanks ordered. I m considering the IM hello heater controller combo myself. Did you get the 700w? Did they fit it nice? I assume its made for it but would be nice to get some confirmation. Love your setup so far.

So I did get the 700w Helios and they have a spot in the sump for “heaters” and they do not fit there was pretty bummed. Had to end up putting them in the next chamber where the skimmer goes sideways at an angle the heaters are pretty long! Good luck with your tank can’t wait to see your build!
