I got my hands on a cheap skimmate 7205.
My water level in skimmer chamber is just over 10", which is about 1"-2" lower, than recommended.
Adjustments are made by raising the skimmer cup, so shouldn't I be ok just kerping the cup low?
Or, could I just raise the water level in the skimmer by blocking some of the water outlet (like the way a 'normal' skimmer works).
Just thinking if the skimmer will work or not. I don't have anything to skim yet, so can't really test :)

Thanks for the bump.
I might be able to answer it myself in the future.
I've installed it in my sump, but cycling so nothing to skim yet, so cannot say if lower water level can work or not.
I might try a few things to raise water level inside the skimmer, as well as reduce the noise.
