Skimmer air intake silencer?

Looking to add an air intake silencer to an older EuroReef skimmer.

I see replacements available for Aquamaxx units but no details on airflow capabilitoes. Are they all the same?

Any other recommendations?

you should be fine with an aquamaxx one, just get a similar sized silencer to fit the capabilities of your pump (liters per hour of air, specs should be on the pump or found easily online)

Was thinking about changing pumps from AC to DC.

Is there any harm in just getting the biggest one?

shouldnt be a problem, might just need to dial in the dc pump flow and the air adjustment using a valve which can be placed anywhere accessible on the air line itself (something like this should work depends on your airline tubing to be sure of the size Amazon product ASIN B095KBXC18 ) .
I would probably post another thread for the pump choices and see if anyone is running a similar setup you could copy.
