so I have a 55 gallon tank with a stand as of right now I have a sump and a aquaeuro skimmer; I bought a Red Sea c1800 off craigslist for 50$ ( retail 300$) but it won't fit into my sump. Does anyone know of a small sump with a large skimmer section? Right now I'm using an eshopps sump and I originally bought a larger one but had to downgrade to there smaller sump due to it not fitting in my stand (couldn't get it through the door) so my question is does anyone know of a sump that has a large sized skimmer section it would need to be Atleast a 10" by 12" section for the skimmer.

Have you considered making your own? It's easy, cheap, and you can build it according to your needs.

I'm not sure how to go about it. The measurements have to be perfect for the dividers.

It's extremely easy, and the measurements don't have to be 100%. You actually want to cut them about 1/8 inch short for glass, 1/4 or so for acrylic (acrylic swells slightly from water absorption) so you can get silicone between the glass tank and dividers. Check out my build thread, the sump i'm using now is my very first stab at making one.

Where would I get the panes of glass?

Local glass shop, do some googling. You can get acrylic from tapp plastics, relatively cheap. Large sumps, around 50+ gallons, you'll want 1/4 acrylic, smaller sumps you can do 1/8.
