Depending on your budget, I would look into LifeReef. I have had all different type of skimmers from RO to vertex to bubble king and feel that for the price LifeReef is the best.

I'll look into them. I am currently using 3 different skimmers in my tanks and all perform well. Looking for one for a 300 build

Nice! yeah you'll be surprised at how well liked they are by many reefers and how well they perform. If you have time, give Jeff a call and he'll give great detail on his skimmer...

What skimmers are you using currently and which one is your favorite? What makes it the favorite?

For me it's ease of cleaning.

A Tunze 9410 is my current skimmer. An AquaC EV-90 is what it replaced. I (still) love both skimmers. :)

I don't have anything large yet but I do use a Skimz SN123 on my small system. i like it a lot, except the dang collection cup is very tight fit due to mfc tolerances. If the body is on the low end of the tolerance and the collection cup is at the high end of the tolerances there's no way they'll fit together. You'd think that knowing this that they'd pair it up before shipping it out. Other than that I do like it a lot.

I currently use an icecap 120, a reef octopus 150. And a reef octopus 110. All of them do a decent job. I have had issues with the ice cap quality but was able to repair it myself.
