I haven’t heard of the Coral Box, I’ll look. I did look into the super reef octopus, the recommended depth was like 6”, I’m at 9.5+.

I had a coral box 300 on my 25 nano for 2 .5 years. Worked very well.
I had it on eggcrate to get the correct depth. I would still look at the tunze 9410 dc and set it at 6.5" on egg crate and call it a day.

I would go with something like an RO Classic 200INT or 202-S depending on sump layout. Pretty cheap and proven and will work well on that tank size. Also will work in 9.5" of water no problem, although a 1" stand (egg crate) wouldn't be a bad idea.

Hello guys, running my 130g with roughly 110g of water and having Bubble Magus 180CS for 5 years.

More specs here:
Bubble Magus 180CS Suitable for 700 – 900 liters
Cone frothing internal – BM-180CS
Protein Foam for internal use, so in the sump adjustable.
Suitable for 700 – 900 liters. Air supply 500 liters per hour.
Pump: 1 x Aquabee 2000/1 with needle bar, consumption approx. 33 watts.
Size approx. 230 x 270 x 520 mm. Cutting cylinder max .: 18 cm.
Water level in sump 24 – 28 cm.

Is it okay if i want to do carbon dosing and switch a bit to sps and some lps?
Currently trying to lower my NO3 around 10 and PO4?
Friend of mine worried me a bit that i should oversize 3-4x than size of my tank but my impression is that it works pretty well.

I run Aquamaxx ConeS1 on my 60 gallon w/ fuge, and other than a couple design annoyances with collection cup, it does a good job :)

I have a Nyos 160 on my 120 and run inline with a Innovitech 1.0xfilter (like a clarisea but better). I really like this skimmer. it is easy to adjust, not too expensive, runs an AC pump (bulletproof ehiem motor block rebranded to nyos). Its dead silent and easy to run a silicone hose outdoor to.

It don't need an algae rector or fuge and only run a small amount of biomedia. So if you skimmer is rated similar to the 160 (which it appears to be) i would go with that. If you have unreliable mechanical filtering I would upsize.
