I am thinking of taking the skimmer on 30 gallon frag tank and moving it to the 40 breeder. Will this cause any issues on the frag tank by removing it. The last thing I want to do is lose a lot of corals!

Guess it all depends on how much you do water changes and watch the params on the Frag tank. That skimmer is doing a great service on that tank.

No, the initial impact won't harm anything, as long as you watch the parameters, as they will change quickly without the skimmer.

I would say it depends on what you have in the frag tank. SPS would be more affected with skimmerless system and softies and zoas and pallys would benefit from having a little higher nutrient level in your frag tank.
