My Tunze Skimmer is craping out on me. I can hear it struggling as I type this. I have already taken it apart about a month ago when I noticed it wasn't really producing anything anymore.

I have an IM 40 cube and would like to know what the AIO gurus think is the best skimmer without a sump I can buy. I would prefer to avoid a HOB for room and aesthetics but if a strong argument can be made that they are just better, then maybe.

Also, all you IM folks, where do you keep your skimmers?

Cadlights pls50. But if you are willing to consider HOB then the aquamax is going to make you very happy.

Can you send a picture of your set up. I am super close to throwing in the towel and adding a sump
If you r going to the sump ive always had success with the AMS skimmer line. Replacement parts are always available and they are a work horse. I had a AMS G4 on my 210 gallon mixed reef. What a wonderful and easy skimmer.

I just recently changed the Tunze overflow to a COR90 overflow for more flow
