Skimmer Not working

My bubble Magus Curve 5 skimmer hasn't been working for a while. I decided to take the whole thing apart, clean it and soak the pump in vinegar. I just put it all back together and the bubbles aren't even overflowing into the collection cup. What am I doing wrong? Should I post a picture? The skimmer is 10 inches in the water.

Here are the things which generally go wrong in skimmers:
- precipitates at the air hole where the air vent goes in the pump
- bad power adapter
- bad pump

Everything else is just mechanical and generally nothing to really go wrong if there are no obstructions. Hope that helps...

Have you tried running the pump outside the skimmer to see if you have good flow? I recently had the same problem, and after the third time taking it apart I found a snail in the air inlet that I hadn't thought to check. Works like new now.
