I have a Marineland model 300 skimmer on a 90 gallon mixed reef with a 15 gallon sump.
i have 2 small tomato clowns, a pair of Bangai cardinals and 4 Chromis. The skimmate it is producing is kinda lite green. Should it be darker or is this normal with a lite fish load.
I also run GFO thru a 2 little fishes reactor.

it all depends if you run it wet or dry. the higher the water line is in the reaction chamber, the wetter the skimate.

thats around were i currently run it and the color is not that light. it all depends on the skimmer, the amount of water it pulls out with the organics and the tank. try playing with it, run it dryer for a week and see the difference, then try the same thing but running it wet. find the one you liked the most, this is a personal thing...
