What is the first thing to check when the skimmer is not producing bubbles? I have never had this problem before. Thanks for your time.

I’d make sure the air line is still hooked up and clear, the air silencer (and air adjustment knob) is not plugged with salt, and the pump impeller is clean.

I am having the no bubble issue as well. I took the entire skimmer out last week for a good cleaning. I needed a Philips to remove the screws to remove the needle wheels on the dual inlet pump, and didn’t have the right size and just flushed it well with water after jamming some bottle brush pipe cleaners in it. Shortcut, but I was also short on time, reassembled and it worked great for a few days. If I were to block the intake ports to the pump with my finger, the resulting blockage creates the bubbles in the skimmer body. What gives!? Any ideas?? Thank you!!

Assure it is in 7-8" of water and the tube from muffler to pump is not clogged (blow thru tube from the top - there should be no back pressure)

As advised the air line is hopefully plugged . Blow into it to clear it then suck on it slowly or you will get a mouthful until the water line is where it needs to be according to the manufacturer normally a cup with a neck so halfway up the neck. Maybe dirty impeller or if too old need a new impeller check it in that order, Just Me

Cleaned this entire skimmer yesterday, pump and all, and it was working correctly. I shut it off last night, dosed bacteria, and turned it back on this afternoon. Bubbles are staying low in skimmer body and not rising to overflow in collection cup. No blockages I can detect, airline clear, pump inlet and Venturi seem good. Any ideas?
