Just curious if the reactor will help to populate copepods, or harm them if I put it in my sump. I will have a refugium as well with only pond matrix and maybe some Fiji mud, and I want to make sure that the addition of the chaeto reactor won’t be detrimental to the population of pods. There won’t be any chaeto in the refugium.

I don't see how it would harm the population in any way. It should ideally act as a secondary breeding ground (though I'm not sure how likely that will be in a reactor as opposed to the calmer environment of a refugium).

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
