Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing well!
I’ve got a question about power head size. I’ve got a 29 gallon aio jbj tank. The display is 12.5” wide by 17.5” long by 18” high.
My question is should I get a SLW 10(1056 max gph) or do I get a SLW 20(2641 max gph) and run it lower? I think I would run it the length of the tank vs putting it on my back wall. I’m not sure.

Here is my tank. I’m working on the GHA on that one rock.

I would get 2, 2 pointed at each other is much easier to generate random flow through the tank with less dead spots. Only one means it will be a one way linear flow with several dead spots. Just my 2 cents.

I was thinking about that. I do have one real small power head that blows a constant stream. I may just go for the two SLW 10s. I do think the 20s may be a bit much for my tank. I only have three sps and they are happy as is. I am definitely trying to get rid of dead spots as of right now I’ve got a couple.

Get the 10’s. The 20s will be a bit much for flow.
I have 2 in my system and I haven’t serviced them in literally a year and still work great.
They are cheap and I keep a spare around as well.
