Hi
I am shocked that there is only 1 thread about Smartthings to automate our tanks. I am just starting my hobby and I am adding a lot of things to my tank and in total it is significant amount of money. Maybe in a few years I will just add 1 element once a few months so I can save for something like Apex but right now I would like to utilize what I have which is Samsung Smartthings which I use in my house for security and home automation. I had some spare plugs which I use to operate pumps and lights.
Right now what I did is:
1) smart plug1 which has connected power strip on which I have powerheads and return pump.
2) smart plug2 which has connected refugium lamp
3) switch which is set to disable pumps for a feeding mode and second action double press to on/off refugium
4) I have some automation to set timer for a refugium lump

I have some concerns about having pumps on the same power strip and I don't want to connect everything through a smart plug and I am looking for a better solution such as smart power strip which have each plug as a smart socket.

Does anyone use smartthings for a reef automation? And if so, what have you achieved, what solutions, devices, apps, etc. are you using?

I am using smart plugs on almost everything. An apex is in my future though. I have my fuge light and ATO on smart plugs using timers. I have main pump so I can turn off during water changes. I have my water change heater, booster pump and the pump i use to pump new saltwater to the tank.
