That is just the tips of the coral in the 3rd picture. It's a maricultured piece from my LFS, Tongs, I've been growing out for a while now. Grows very well and the color is great both white and blue spectrums.

I'll be curious to see how you like the quantas. Would love to add one or two to my tank but mounting may be an issue until I upgrade.

I really love the quantas. I'd been running a set of 3' QuantaPro OG Pop for a little over a year. I just haven't mounted them back to my 10x54w powermodule.

The OG Pop have great color for all blue viewing. They beat out XHO bars and Oprhek. More power/punch than both and the spread surpasses orphek and probably comparable to XHO. 2 bars mounted 20-22" apart on my 36" front to back tank and the whole thing is covered very evenly. Best LED bar made in my opinion, can't beat the price either.

Haha yeah they are getting smaller but so are peoples colonies. The difference of how a 1/2” frag and 1+” settles in and grows is huge too.

In this case though, these were practically given to me free so I wont complain at all. He cut me a myagi tort, Oregon tort and the WD and no name tenuis were tossed in with the JF. Very generous local reefer. When they grow I’m gonna pass on the good reef karma

It's getting very out of hand, that's for sure. Locally, one LFS has berghias but it's in an area I just don't like to go and they won't ship because they are too sensitive. Once I come across them I'll give them a shot, though.

For now, I'm thinking of making my own kalk paste (need to see if there is some ratio out there or if it's just by eye) and start setting time aside every day and targeting small sections of the tank. I also want to use this to knock back some of the montipora that made it onto the main rock.
